Bombora moved its operations to Pembrokeshire, Wales in 2017. Over time Bombora has grown significantly and developed a unique, high-end design and manufacturing capability, both internally and through the local supply chain. We now intend to consolidate and grow this capability by establishing a new “mWave Module Assembly Facility” within Pembroke Dock to complement our existing offices. This facility will initially service our Pembrokeshire project, but in the near future will be required to supply mWave cell modules and PTO modules into our next regional and global projects.
Bombora has made excellent progress on building its first 1.5MW mWave and will be commissioning the project this summer. Bombora recently announced that we have embarked on an exciting new project with TechnipFMC, we call it InSPIRE, where wind and wave power are being integrated into single floating platforms. To deliver these projects successfully and ensure that our technology continues to improve we need to grow our engineering team once again. We have just announced vacancies for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, a Senior Electrical Engineer, a Membrane Engineer and a Finite Element Analyst. These roles will be offered with very competitive remuneration to the right candidates, and will have the option of either working from our headquarters in Pembrokeshire or from our new satellite office being set up in Bristol.
